This Achielle Oma bicycle is painted with a powdercoating 2 layer technique in the color ‘cream‘ .
The 22″ frame is hand made with Corus Hi Tech tubes in the Achielle Workshop in Belgium.
The bike is outfitted with a Shimano Coasterbrake. Coasterbrakes are the standard for a Dutch bikes in general, because hand brakes are considered as too vulnerable for a real city bike. Hand brakes require much more maintenance compared to a coaster brake and hand brakes are more likely to get damaged. But even more important then all of these functionalities: hand brakes kill the beautiful graceful style of the typical Dutch style chrome handlebar.
The bike is outfitted with a Shimano Nexus 3 Speed. The gears are inside the rear internal hub so they can endure all weather conditions. Besides this the Shimano Nexus speeds are the most easy to use speeds available. It will switch gear, no matter what you do with your feet. Derailleur gears are compared to internal hub gears very vulnerable and require skills to operate it well so that the chain will not come off. With the Nexus Shimano internal gear hub you can expect none of this, and you shouldn´t settle for less. With these gears you will never end up with hands covered all up in grease on one for your rides.
The 28″ rims are made by the Dutch company Rigida and they carry the brand name van Schothorst. When it comes to stainless steel rims, these rims are the highest quality level available on the market. Stainless steel is much stronger then Aluminum so they will last for years without getting all bended.
The cream colored Schwalbe tires will garanty you extreme longevity and durability. Schwalbe´s patented puncture protection provides further moments of cycling happiness.
The double kick stand is very typical for the Dutch Oma Style bicycle and is made by Steco. They are made so strong that, even though it´s not recommended safety wise, you can consider this rear carrier as you second seat!
The handlebar is made from all weather proof chrome. The grips on made from leather by a company with a great reputation when it comes to quality craftmanship: Brooks. Besides this the grips are style wise a match to the Brooks B66 Honey Leather saddle.

The front rack is seen very often on Dutch style bicycles. But this front rack is the only Dutch bicycle with the rack welded to the front fork. This safe weight and keeps the look of the handle bar nice and clean.
